Book Review for The Doorman to Heaven
People need a plumb line for Truth. People need evidence for the true history of spirituality. That’s why we recommend reading The Doorman to Heaven.
The crux of the matter is the cross. Is the resurrection a reality? The heart of the matter is the condition of people’s hearts—and we need to be aware of our standing with the Doorman. The Doorman to Heaven sends readers an invitation to the Banquet, emphasizing the importance of responding. A relationship quiz examines the reader’s standing with the Doorman, and gives a description of the alternative to accepting the Doorman’s offer.
Through The Doorman to Heaven, we see a glimpse of the Doorman through His Book and discover His ways as explained therein. What is His Presence like? The Doorman to Heaven gives a comforting description of where our loved ones who have joined His family spend their time after leaving this earth. Share it with friends and relatives whose eternal standing hasn’t been clearly decided, and those struggling with everyday realities.

In ancient history, there was a man named Joseph who was a shepherd before rising out of obscurity. He was imprisoned for a time before he was put in charge of all Egypt. God was his source of wisdom; therefore, he knew ahead of time there would be a famine all over the world and was able to prepare, storing up an abundance of food for the nation ahead of time. Because the famine was severe in all the world, all the countries came to Egypt to buy food. Because of Joseph’s God-given insight, Egypt prospered.

It’s time to get back to basics when it comes to money. With all the talk of the economy and the bailout during this season, let’s remember some foundational guidelines for managing money.
Let’s be content with what we have and get rid of greed. Selfish ambition leads to disorder and the love of money is the root of all evil.
We must pay taxes, something that’s been around since ancient times. We must render payment to whom payment is due. We will be most productive if we work six days and rest one. We should be diligent and hard-working in all our labors, not lazy. We must respect authority while not bowing down to evil.
Let’s set aside a percentage of our incomes to give to charitable causes, at times choosing to be generous above and beyond that. These tithes (the percentage) and offerings (gifts above that) are eternal investments with excellent rewards. God loves a cheerful giver.

Money is man’s imperfect system. It is impossible to love both God and money; we will hate one and love the other. We can’t love both. Working is good, but not just for money. Money is good; it’s not for loving. I work for Jesus; I have all I need. I worship Jesus; I work for Him.
My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

King Solomon asked for a discerning heart to distinguish right and wrong in order to better govern the people – he was only a little child. God gave him wisdom to administer justice. Leaders with God-given wisdom are empowered, prepared, equipped, and trained by Him. God raises up leaders and accomplishes His purposes through them, no matter their age.

Jesus Christ was a carpenter from the small town of Nazareth who many despised. Jesus’ unconventional rise to leadership came quickly, precisely because He was hated by many. David was a shepherd caring for sheep. When others more experienced than he were afraid to go to battle, David stood up, took on Goliath, and defeated Him single-handedly.
